Our History
On November 2nd, 2019, founder and CEO Zoeie Kreiner made a heartbreaking call to her son, who was deployed overseas. She had to tell him that one of his closest friends had lost his battle with PTSD. Within a week and a half, he would lose two more brothers-in-arms the same way.
In the months that followed, Zoeie struggled with how to help her son cope — and began to think about all the others who might not have anyone looking out for them. That thought became a calling.
One evening, after speaking with another military mom, Zoeie sat down and wrote a simple goal: To Save Live - One Hero At a Time.
From that moment, Support Over Stigma was born.
Since its founding in 2020, the organization has grown rapidly, reaching over 25,000 veterans, military members, and first responders. Through life-saving outreach, trauma-informed education, and direct support, we are empowering those who serve to rediscover hope — and choose life.
