Afghan 13 - Always Remember

As a Military Mom, you live every day in fear of what could happen. Praying, worrying, waiting on a call, an email, a snapchats post on social media, anything that is “proof of life”. I remember getting very excited (and crying) when I received a photo of his boots, yes his BOOTS, because I knew he was in a scary place and hadn’t heard from him in a little while.

A year ago today, was the biggest roller coaster. My 1st grandson was born on what would have been my grandfather’s 102 birthday. We were on top of the world. We knew how blessed we were. Then news of the tragedy in Kabul came crashing in and for thirteen families all of those fears were no longer “What if’s” but their new reality. My heart continues to break for their families and friends.

PLEASE take time to remember these service members who paid the ultimate sacrifice!
